« Un bateau Australien a été saisi lors d’une opération des Coastguards menée par l’inspecteur Sanjay. Pondicherry est connue pour fabriquer et exporter des bateaux. Un voilier de luxe dénommé « Katali », construit à Pondicherry et acheté par un businessman Australien, a tenté de quitter les eaux indiennes aujourd’hui sans les documents nécessaires (paiement des taxes, permission du port, immigration). La Police côtière a réalisée une superbe action et saisi le bateau, qui se trouve désormais en possession des Douanes Pondichériennes ! »
Alors effectivement, nous voulions féliciter l’Inspecteur SANJAY, qui a fait un super super boulot. Un vrai travail de prestidigitateur, le Majax des temps modernes, le David Copperfield du sous continent Indien, il a saisi notre bateau sans même qu’on s’en aperçoive !
Il est TRES fort, standing ovation pour l’inspecteur SANJAY, et merci Kamal de nous avoir envoyé cette petite perle.

Parmi tous les incompétents indiens qui ont barré ou tenter d’obstruer votre route, il nous manquait le journaliste. Réparation est faite… Merci Kamal pour moment de gloire de la profession. On a failli rigoler aussi mais malgré nos efforts, nous n’y sommes pas parvenus 😉
Matthieu and Soizic, i too have seen this article and also the same evening i had calls from all the people concerned. let me clarify that there was a confusion as the coastal police had really found a boat built in pondy with srilankans being smuggled into australia. the next day the inspector concerned had issued a clarification that it was not your boat and that they had stopped to check your papers and they let you go. i spoke to the concerned inspector and he informed me that the newspaper had mixed up the reports. also i know you have a lot of hate for your bad experiences in india but i dont think it is as bad as it seem am sure you have met some nice people who were helpful and nice with you. with your experience of having travelled to different countried am sure you do understand all this. anyway you can ignore this newspaper report as it is give publicity for the police than to your boat, since they did not have the picture of the real boat which smuggled the sirlankans who wanted to migrate to australia they put the picture of KATALI. hope this clears up the misunderstanding. i always go to the bottom of it and as far as KATALI it has left officially with the permissions of home department, minsitry of home affairs, rro, customs, port so whatever the news paper has written it is to sell some interesting news for their circulation and it is the same all over the world as far as i know. so hope this clarifies the misunderstanding. enjoy your stay at thailand and my regards to you all and my little friend Mael too
